Advice: Grievance against Employer

have you had experience lodging a grievance against employer?

I am in the process and would like any advice going…

(relates to discrimination, bullying within local authority/education setting)

What help did a union offer? was it resolved? How long did it take? Did it involve mediation/apology? Did it involve ACAS? Did you resign and go to employment tribunal?

Thanks @Angelofthenortheast
Definitely sound advice re solicitor. My partner tried to encourage me to do this and I must admit the fear of losing a fair bit of money was off putting, despite having a good case and evidence....you begin to doubt yourself in the situation, lose confidence and trust in people... I wish I didn't.

I'm glad it worked out for your friend- it's great to hear someone who followed it through and got positive outcome- hats off to her bearing the stress.

DO NOT GO TO A SOLICITOR!
The second you do that your union representation is history. You've already been honest here. You may or may not have involved the union - on another thread - but you withheld evidence on your side. You haven't given the union a chance. There is no "as well". One or the other. You've already paid for the union. If you have the money for legal fees all the way, great. If not... don't do something you will regret
