Just that really, I would love to work from home but I'm struggling to find a position to be able to do this?, I've looked on the major sites, what would you suggest?

Look on the jobs section on linked in and change the location on the search to "remote"

A lot of office based role could be either office or home based, it depends more on the employer than the job. So you might be better asking what companies allow home working too (but I doubt many posters will reveal that level of information about themselves, I wouldnt)

I am an IT Business Analyst and my projects are generally global so it doesnt matter where I am based and i work mostly from home. Now and again we will get local projects and we would be expected to meet together in the same place when needed.

Wow, so many have replied, I'm really grateful to you all for taking the time to reply.
I have a Masters in agriculture & science, have worked in offices doing sales& admin roles as I couldn't find an agricultural role WFH, I don't live on a farm btw.
WFH would suit me best as I need the flexibility due to kids & animals.

I'm a PA just about to start a new job and I'll be doing one day in the office a week. They said they've realised people don't need to be in the office 5 days a week. I'll go in the same day the person I look after and the rest of the team goes in.

Civil servant (senior ish). I work hybrid (40%) but could work 100% from home if I wanted to with a health condition I have (so would qualify) - but I’d hate it personally as I’m quite a social person and visibility is a big part of my role.

Indeed have got lots of remote jobs in agriculture. NFU, charities, rurally isolated support jobs, local councils.

Blessedbethefruitz · 02/10/2022 18:56

Science/tech editor for b2b magazines. Have been wfh since 2016. Got made redundant this year (while on maternity...) headhunted for a comparable role which I started 3 weeks ago, again wfh.

My other half is also wfh post covid, he's in finance with the council. It was hard for him to start with as he's very social, but he's enjoying it now.

In a post lockdown world, I don't get the comments about lazing about and pretend working anymore. Even dp would be incredulous that I'd done a load of washing over lunch etc, pre covid...

You can search for remote jobs on LinkedIn and indeed, there's loads about :)
