Nhs maternity pay help

Hi, I'm hoping someone will be able to answer this:
I'm 19 weeks pregnant and at the moment am doing O/T to try and enhance my mat pay during the qualifying weeks.

My understanding is that they will take this months pay and next month's and ust the amounts to get an average of how much I will get weekly during mat leave.

With this being said, if we get our pay increase in this month's pay, backdated as a lump sum will this amount also be used or is this me wishful thinking.

Its the actual wage that counts so if you get extra pay in those weeks then it will be included when calculating your maternity pay.

Thank you, thats good to know!! It just seems crazy (extremely lucky for me) that just because the pay increase is being paid this month and backdated 6 months it will have such a big impact on my maternity pay.

They take average earnings from week x to y of your pregnancy (I can’t remember which weeks but it will be in your Mat leave policy) but yeah if the back payment hits in the qualifying months you’re quids in!!!

Sorry to jump on an old post I feel like I know the answer to this question but thought I'd check anyway.... you say it's the actual wage that they take into account. Does this include mileage that I'm paid during them weeks and afc (holiday) absence payments?

Thanks
