Hello everyone my name is Josh, I am 28 years of age. to put a little perspective on my life.

I went to university and studied Criminal Justice, graduated, and worked in a law firm for a year until I decided I wanted to travel. I then moved to China, as I've always had an interest in Chinese culture, I have been living in China ever since as a teacher, and I have started doing my teaching license also.

I have a Chinese partner, and we are thinking in a few years' time to move back to UK we have been together well since I got to China, to be honest.

I understand what I need to do in terms of getting her British citizenship (takes a long and complicated process).

but I am just worried as to what job I can get in the UK, with not doing anything with my degree I know my degree is somewhat "expired". Of course, I can go into teaching but I was thinking of trying to go back into law. I just want some advice or guidance or if anyone has been abroad for ex amount of years and then came back

and my Girl-friend soon-to-be fiance/wife, is also worried about what job she can do she's fluent in four languages, but we're both just concerned for the future.

hope this gives enough information thank you and I hope you guys are having a nice day!

Best wishes

Joshua

Hi Josh, sounds almost the same situation as one of my sons. Definitely complete an international teaching qualification as that is a back up option. Could your partner also do that so she could teach too? Your degree should not date / expire too much as criminal justice is a fairly slow moving subject area. Your previous working experience and living in China during the challenging times of recent years will be viewed as a positive by employers. Depending on what you want to do, you could teach to begin with whilst also completing an MSc or MBA part time? Unfortunately you would be in the same position as my son and would be classed as an international student for the fees. PM me if you want to chat about any aspect or I can put you in touch with my son.

Also do you have family you can stay with?
