Should I apply for job while pregnant?

Hi there!
Anyone else been in this situation? I’m currently 18 weeks pregnant with my 1st and showing! I also lost my job due to business closure in April. Things are getting abit tight with money at home as partners family business isn’t earning as much at the moment.
To help take pressure of him and our finances and to be able to start buying things for the baby we decided I should start looking at a part time, temporary job. I even sent my horse away on loan to save costs 😕
Has anyone else experience of applying for jobs while pregnant? I know your legally don’t have to inform a potential employer of pregnancy but I feel that would be a shitty thing to do. Those who’ve been in this situation, at what point did you tell the employer? Before or after the interview?
Im really torn between waiting until after the interview to see if I get offered the job first, then explain and see if they still think me and the job are suitable, or telling them before hand and giving them time to find a reason not to employ me.
I’d really appreciate any advice from experience or opinions on this one. Thanks x

If you're applying for a permanent position, I would tell them that you're pregnant, especially if you're already showing. You're into your 2nd trimester so you won't be there for long. And if you're showing, that will be hard to keep it a secret anyway. I'd be up-front prior to interview. Therefore they know the circumstances whilst interviewing you. If you tell them after they've offered you the job, they may feel a bit deceived.

Or the easier option is to just apply for fixed-term temp work. So you won't have to hide your pregnancy at all. Although, that means you may not be entitled to full maternity pay.

I did a lot of temping when the children were small it was great no pressure.

Thats what I was thinking tbh. I’d hate to go into a new job on a bad note, even if temporary. I have applied for a seasonal job and had a email back today to arrange an interview. I think my best bet is to explain and see what they say. I’ve not been looking at permanent jobs at all as I don’t see the point when it’s potentially only 3 months. Thank you
