Pt versus Ft job dilemma

Hi to you all
I am looking for some advice.
I have 2 children aged 2 and 4
I currently working part time 3 days with an hour and half commute works out at as 24 miles round trip. I have recently been offered another job somewhere else

which is 37.5hrs 5 days a week. After 2 months of training I will be able to work 2 days from home and 3days in office. The job is nearer home, would take me about 30 minutes to get to by public transport and is more of what I would like to do.
I have accepted the job but I'm 2 minds as to whether the Ft 37.5hrs is going to be too much for me with school pick ups and but my other half will be doing the school pick ups as he does nights as a nurse. We are having some relationship probs at the moment - we just don't get to spend time as a family let alone a couple, which has put a strain on things. I do know that my current Pt role has days off where I would be able to pursue other things -I've been thinking of doing some home study for while now....thinking now would be the time to do it to improve my career prospects in the long run. But to try to do this with a Ft job - would be more difficult.
I'm just interested in any useful advice from anyone or if anyone has been in a similar situation.
Thanks

It's a tough one because of the commute etc. You could request flexible working after a specific period in the new full time job if it's family friendly firm. Would you then need extra child care? I would go for the full time job especially with the cost of living crisis at the moment. Tough decision though. 😐

RRB1920 yes you are right it is a tough decision. I have been thinking the same thing with the Ft job but there would be no guarantee that they would be able to reduce my hrs to say 30hrs after 26 wks, which I think would be more manageable in the long run. Thank you so much for your advice.
