I know Daily Mash us for fun but I 100% agree about psychological tests and multiple interviews.

My other red flags are:

  1. During the interview the person just waffles on and wastes your time because they've made their mind up allready. Eg spending majority of the time explaining job role or telling you about the company (allready know that anyway).
2 " Would suit a student/ retired person" - apart from ageist connotations, often means the job is only a pocket money job. 3 If on the advert or in interview the words 'start up' or 'family business' sets of alarm bells.
  1. Interview being conducted in café or pub

What are yours?

Typos in job description.

I've had interviews with the Interviewer has bad mouthed or belittled the previous employee. That's put me off totally.

@Cocobeau know what you mean. Mind you, I've been at interviews where they've slagged off present employees

Preparing a presentation that is essentially a free piece of work for the org, then ghosting you after you pre-submit it. 😒

When they say "We're a family here" - always implies a degree of dysfunction and poor management!

Red flags for me:

  1. When they rapid-fire questions at me from a sheet. Makes the interview feel like more of an interrogation rather than a conversation.
  2. Competency questions. Great if you can think quick on your feet but I don't think that this reflects someone's ability to do a job at all.

Totally agree with this, hence why I'm now off sick and desperately trying to get a new job
