Just a bit of background I was working in primary for 3yrs i then thought I’d give secondary a go - have only been there a month & I absolutely hate it. I have an interview later this week for a primary job again & I’m bound to get asked why I want to work back in primary. So basically I need advice on how to word why I want to work back in a primary again? Any advice please?

At the risk of sounding obvious, what don't you like about the secondary job? How is it different to your previous role?

It is important that you are able to are clear in your own mind as to why you hate the current job. There are ways of expressing this to an interview panel in positive ways: i.e. not saying what you hate about it, but talking about the satisfactions that you found in primary, and that you have become aware that your skills would be put to better use in that sector.

Whatever you do do not give them a list of what you hate there!

That you prefer working with a younger age group.

Thanks all.

Where I am currently I feel so unsupported, my boss is never around & never has any time to go through anything, she barely responds to my emails & I’m forever chasing her on things. When I do grab her in passing she’s barely listening, her mind is elsewhere.
The people within the department aren’t that friendly so I feel quite lonely. I’m sat in an internal box room daily with no window & feel very isolated. It’s just making me bloody miserable if I’m honest.

Sounds miserable. It's a colleague/culture issue rather than a primary vs secondary issue. You could move to another Primary school and have the same issues.
If they ask you why you want to leave your current role, I'd just say you miss the culture and supportiveness of a Primary school (as pp said, don't specifically say anything negative about your current role).

Good luck!
