Pros. Work in a small team so get to know everyone. Get to know the patients. Opportunities to develop your skills to do injections and dressings and blood pressures.
Could get part time role.
NHS pension scheme, not as good as it was but better than any private scheme.
Sick pay after 5 years you get 6 months full six months half. Good mat pay. Weekends off

Cons.

Went the doctors forget to write in the notes what bloods they want and you have to chase them. (I've been guilty of this)
Patients asking for all-sorts of bloods and you have to get them ok'd by doctor. Rude patients but the 99% make up for that.

We have a very good phlebotomist. She's a great team player and the patients love her.

Oh one of our receptionists became a phlebotomist then did nursing.

Good luck
