Seen my job advertised 3 months after I was offered it any recruiters about?

I got a new job about 2.5 months ago and started a month ago after finishing previous role.

I got a job alert for a very similar sounding role in linked in, title is quite unique and I could tell from the description it's the same (unique) role in the same company on the same salary ie my exact job.

It's been advertised by a recruitment agency so I checked their website and its showing there as a live vacancy too.

Any recruiters able to set my mind at rest if this is normal? I'd understand if I'd only been offered it last week but 2 and a half months later? I haven't had any noticeably bad feedback but this job is a step up for me in a different industry, which they were ok with at interview, and now I'm worried they think they made a mistake.

But surely they'd boot me out before readvertising?

I think it's more likely the agency are using it to fish for new contacts. If someone applies then they will tell them the vacancy is filled or withdrawn, but they have other roles coming up.

Instead of wondering... just get a new SIM and call the agency (or set your phone to anonymous)! Pretend you're interested and fish for info. Sorted.

I once found my job advertised and it turned out the shambolic HR dept had reposted it completely by mistake, months after I'd started.

Conversely I applied to a company with said multiple openings of one role, which suddenly become a one horse race unbeknown to me, but I got the unexpected 3 liner email of we've chosen another candidate which baffled me when the advert read up to 5 roles available, not even a we'll bear you in mind..

On further reply, it got worse turns they'd filled the positions months ago, forget just filled it. I really feel for people being lured to send their CV for an apparent 5 roles in one dept at said company by a recruitment agent over the past week, the company quite upfront after event, said they filled to me.

I believe Indeed have quite a habit of posting jobs that have sometimes expired where the original advert is left out there.

My latest job carried on interviewing which I found rather nervy on day 2 but turns out 2 people are needed not the 1 person as the job board suggested at first. It was quite interesting watching the competition as it was one of those interviews that you have to be shown/see the workplace in action during interview and one person bottled it at just how crazy the workplace is. They were like ooohh, no and really let a lack of confidence out!!

Rece
Recruiter responded saying it was a glitch and sometimes happens! I didn't tell her it was also still live on their own website. I think the most likely explanation is fishing for fresh blood, boss seems happy enough with me this early in so I don't think they're trying to pull a fast one...
