WFH data entry / content style jobs to supplement income

Maybe this is embarrassing or just a sign of the times - I don’t know. Regardless, I’m in a position where I need to try to find a part time temp digital style role. I’m actually paid very well as a Marketing Director in my full time role. I just had a pay rise recently so I can’t explore more income that way.

DH’s business has never fully recovered from the impact of Covid. Whilst he’s working out what to do, we need more income in the short term to cover outgoings. In my career I worked up through web content management and then digital marketing, and freelanced very successfully in the early years of having children - I would work in the evenings and just very flexibly around having children.

I thought maybe I could look for data entry/ digital style temp jobs that can be done in the evening - where the volume of work being done is important, not necessarily the time of day. Is this rare nowadays or are there companies looking for this kind of thing? I’ve searched on Reed and Indeed and there’s part time AND remote temp jobs but all seem to be in a day time setting. Is it better to sign up with a temp agency?

I would think there's a demand for freelance web content management and digital marketing, which would command a higher rate of pay per hour than data entry

it might be a better option for your DH to earn some money while hes "working out what to do"
Your Contract may actually not allow you to freelance or work for anyone else so you do need to check that too

"Working out what to do" doesn't mean he can't work....why isn't he looking for additional work?? Why should the responsibility fall to you?

Bostonten · 29/04/2022 08:18

Have a look at places like fiver, you should be able to pick up some freelance work from there. There are others similar I just can't remember now what they are called

How about your husband gets a job?

nearlyspringyay · 29/04/2022 08:24

I don't think the tax implications would be worth it for something like data entry and as op said you need to check your contract carefully.

Why can't he get a job?

Search on here for the earn ten pound a day threads. All of the sites and ideas can be applied to earn whatever you need

Agree with PPs, your DH needs to earn some money. Suggest he signs up with indeed flex, they provide warehouse/supermarket staff and you just accept what shifts suit you. He can do that until he decides what to do.
