Question for hairdressers about apprenticeship trial?

My daughter has a trial for a hairdressing apprenticeship . I know this is a really random question but how smart / casual should she be? Obviously she knows to look well presented with good hair and make up but I don't know how smart she will be expected to be if there all day as opposed to an interview? She's thinking black jumpsuit and leopard print sandals - I'm wondering if sandals are appropriate but she thinks 'smart' type shoes will look old fashioned. My hairdresser always wears jeans and trainers so I am conscious she could look over the top but don't want her to look scruffy either . Any advice appreciated

I'd go smart black trousers and a black top but closed toe shoes, my DD used to work in a hairdressers and they had H&S procedures regarding shoes.
If she gets the job she can adjust her work wear based on what everyone else wears.
Fingers crossed she gets the job!
