Do new NI rates affect state pension?

I work part time and earn about £13K a year. I have arranged my hours so I am paying enough NI to accumulate credits/ years to my state pension.

I have just worked out that under the new rules I will hardly pay any NI at all as the threshold has gone up. It is something like £12K and above that now pay NI.

Will this affect my state pension credit/ contributions?

Do you receive child benefit?

No, there's still the lower NIC threshold above which you don't pay NIC but still accrue "credits" for state benefits such as pension, so you'll be fine as long as you earn more than that lower threshold which hasn't changed by the same large amount.

I am registered for, but do not take the money for child benefit as my DH is a high earner. My youngest is 12. Doesn’t CB credits towards state pension stop at 12?

If you earn more than 6400/year, you are classed as paying NI. Not sure how much this is increasing in July - but my gut feel is that it isn't really changing.
