NHS hours change

Dept is undergoing organisational change. I am currently part time 3 days per week, 2 long days and 1 short day. Set days.
Trust wants to change to a long day shift pattern with no set days. Where do I stand? I have worked the same days for several years now and not having set days would cause child care problems along side all sorts of difficulties with caring for older relatives and getting children to clubs etc. One of my children has ASD so weekly disruption to routine would increase her anxiety also.
I presume they can't change the amount of hours I work but do I have any right to remain working the same days as I do currently?
Many thanks to anyone with insight.

I'd tell them to fuck off!!! This another reason why the NHS is haemorrhaging staff!!

Seriously, were set days agreed in contract? Doesn't really matter as you've had the same agreed working pattern for several years. From reading link below, you can refuse the change with explanation as to why you can't change hours.

I'd get Union involved and/ACAS

Thanks for the reply, will take a look at the link. Yes the days are in my contract. I definitely plan to get the union involved. Nothing in writing yet but suggestion that it's inline with similar wards/depts elsewhere. I agree though it's a massive retention problem and the reason experienced ward staff end up leaving for community jobs or out patients when they have young families. It's just unworkable.

NHS band 8's and above have their soul removed as part of the contract.
Same thing is happening in our dept with staff coming back from mat leave; no fixed days off to enable childcare etc. Just awful 😔
