Retraining, conveyancing vs bookkeeping

Basically I've decided that I no longer want to work in my current industry due to long hours, lack of flexibility and the need to work weekends and bank holidays along with habits meet strangers in empty properties with no knowledge of who they are. I'm ready mentally to move on and have given it a lot of thought, I've been doing the same thing for 15 years and don't want to do it forever. I have looked into a few options and conveyancing seems a good fit with my property knowledge but I'm also drawn to bookkeeping as I believe it could be don't from home and can be more flexible.
I'd love to hear some real peoples experiences of both jobs, how family friendly do you find them? How long was the training process and could it fit round a very demanding job and child? I feel like I have to do something soon and so any feedback or other suggestions are very welcome! Smile

Are you an EA? Conveyancing would seem like the better fit if so. have you looked at pricing and the hours you have to put in as training, from memory its something like 1,000 hours for conveyancing. 6 months FT, which it won't be.

I don't know anything about bookkepping, but can't imagine you'll walk into a role with on the job training.

I am indeed, I'm thinking it would be an easier transition and believe there to be more work involved in training for this however I'm quite interested. I've seen a few roles coming up for remote working too which is definitely appealing, but not sure whether that's a long term option. Thanks
