Which job shall I choose?

Exactly that.

Started a new job a fortnight ago:
-It's an hours commute one way
-Really disjointed team- people still wfh (not something I'm keen on)
-In an unsafe area- I feel scared being out and about (area is known for gun and knife crime)
-Absolutely lovely manager- bends over backwards to accommodate me (I know him from elsewhere and he's always been encouraging and supportive of my interests)
-Lots of scope for development- manager has said he'll support me

BUT

I've been invited for interview for a new job that I'd applied for before my current job was advertised (interviews rescheduled due to covid)
-Have worked for the organisation before so know the job inside-out
-Have had a big run-in with the manger there due to miscommunication. Had to report her to her manager- luckily I had emails which clearly showed manager was in the wrong
-Job offering £1824 more per year
-Employees back in the office which I like
-Much safer area- don't feel scared walking to the office
-20 mins door to door

What do I do? I have twin toddlers so want to be closer to home just in case I'm needed for emergency pick-ups, etc. but current manager has gone out of his way to fit me into the organisation and I feel so welcomed by everyone. Potential new manager has a lot of issues but I can stand my ground and hopefully she won't try to throw me under the bus again!

Should I stick where I am or go for the interview and see how things pan out? Please help me see sense!

Go for the interview and see how things pan out. Being closer to home is a huge advantage.

Ps. Current manager promotes flexible working which is a godsend with little ones around.

New manager will definitely not. Will push me hard but I the kind of person that needs structure and routine so will probably benefit from this?

Name change fail 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ oh well!

@DahliaBlue

That's what I'm thinking so far. It's the safety aspect and not feeling comfortable in my surroundings in my current job that's grating on me at present. But my current manager is absolutely wonderful and I feel guilty for even thinking about working elsewhere after everything he's done for me.
