Teaching Assistant pro rata / contract advice needed please!

Hello, I'm looking for some advice please. I'm a newly appointed TA with a contract end date of 31/03/2021. There is a possibility my contract may be extended until end July. I have no idea beyond this but again, best case scenario there may be a possibility of a new contract from September 2022. There are no plans for my contract (and that of my colleagues) to be made permanent.

My pay is pro rata/term time only and as such, I will have continued pay during the school holidays. If my contract was to be extended with an end date of July - where would I stand with summer holiday pay? And more so, if I was due to be bought back again in September, where would I stand too?

I'm due to have a chat with the Head this week as hopefully they will have made their decision on whether the funding is in place to extend my contract. I just want to be confident in asking the right questions with regards to my rights and pay.

Has anyone else been in a similar situation and could offer some advice please?

Many thanks ☺️

Just to add - I've spoken with the union but they are unable to help as I haven't been a member for 4 weeks yet 🤷🏻‍♀️

It doesn't work like that as such
So if your year runs April to April and you leave on 31st August you have to pay back your overpaid holiday (as you will have had easter, may half term and 6 weeks summer in only 5 months)

you are typically paid for 44 weeks a year across the months.

If you started in September and leave on 31st march you will get an additional payment in March or April (assuming April- April year) as you will have worked 7 months but only had 4 weeks leave in that time 2 half terms and 2 weeks at Christmas)
