Is it normal for recruiters post interview to not reply to your emails?

I went for an interview which I thought went well. The interviewer said I will hear within a few days regardless whether I get the job or not.

It’s now been over a week (10 days to be exact) and I’ve tried emailing the interviewer who hasn’t replied in two days and I’ve emailed her manager who is also not responding to my email? Confused

Has anyone else gone through this?

This happened to me once. Interview went well. I got through to last 2. They emailed to say the other candidate couldn't come for second interview fir a week as they had a family emergency. Then I never heard again!!! I called and left a couple of messages...I only wanted feedback as I was keen to improve for the next time. They ignored me. I heard the other candidate got the job through a third party.
I have to say it has meant I never use this particular local service and have a very low
Opinion of them now.
I always give the opportunity for telephone or email feedback to anyone who gets through to a final stage interview when I recruit. It's the least you can do.

This has happened to me several times. It's really poor form when candidates take the time to apply for roles and prepare for interview.

Several times.

It's incredibly rude and unprofessional. Some recruiters seem to think this is okay.

I'm really hoping that the tide is turning as it becomes a job seekers market. Employers and recruiters have had the power for too long and got very lazy.

Could you leave a review on Glassdoor or Google?

I would say this is very typical. DH was made redundant last year and had to apply for jobs. Recruiters are your best buddy up to the interview, but you only hear back from them if you are short listed for the job. Some are dreadful!

It is rude but I'd say you've probably dodged a bullet there. If they treat you like that before you even work there...

I’m in a similar boat atm. Went for interview on 27th Jan and not heard back yet. I’m going to email them on Monday. They did say in the interview that it could be a slow process but I just want to know if I’ve got it or not it’s horrible being left in limbo!

I got the feeling they hadn’t had many (any) other applicants for the role so sort of expected to hear quicker than this, now I’m wondering if they’re waiting to see if they get anyone else apply.

I have had a recent job offer. They said they would call on the day and didn't. So I assumed I hadn't got it. in the meantime I accepted another job offer. Then about 3 days later they called to say I had the job and sorry it took them so long. They said I was their first choice. They gave me a couple of days to decide whether to accept which i did, then since have heard nothing for about a week !!! will need to chase it up tomorrow.
