Term time pay

Hi

I have 2 interviews next week for school office roles which I am looking forward to. But can anyone help me try and work out the hourly rate please?

The one job for example is

37 hours per week
Term time plus 8 days (5 of which are inset day)
Actual salary is 18,680

I know it will be divided equally over 12 payments but I'm sure you get holiday pay too which is included in the actual salary. Can anyone help me calculate please?

I suppose I'm just curious what the hourly rate will be. I'm looking to change paths and ideally will still be earning similar to what I do now and hopefully not less.

Thanks in advance

I think the salary includes the holiday pay - so you would get the same amount every month whether you were working or not.

I am pretty sure that's how it's worked out but I am sure others will be along to confirm or say otherwise.

Schools, in England anyway, do 190 teaching days. So I guess you'd be doing 198. So divide your potential salary by 198 to get your daily rate and then again by the number of hours you'd be working per day. £11 per hour ish?

Sorry, misread that and it's the holiday pay you were really asking about. I'm afraid I don't know but hopefully this bumps the thread for you!

I think so too.

So to work out hourly rate is it annual salary divided by 45 weeks divided by 37 hours?

I've worked it out to be a similar hourly rate. Thank you.

Hope it's what you were expecting. Good luck with the interviews.

Yes. It's abit more than what I'm on now.

And thank you
