How long are reasonable adjustments usually made at work for someone who has had cancer?

Depends on the situation.

@Twizbe

Depends on the situation.
Only working mornings and doing more jobs that involve sitting down (retail work)

I meant, reasonable adjustments are very individual.

They are made to enable someone to do their job and are in place as long as needed.

With someone like cancer it would depend on what treatment is currently being done, prognosis and reports from doctors etc.

Like PP said it's not a fixed thing. Real answer is 'as long as the doctors and Occupational health say it's necessary'

The best thing is to build in regular reviews. For example every 2 weeks.

Normally you would build up hours on a gradual basis. However, there can be a point where reducing hours is the right option I.e. you can’t return to full time work.

The sitting down jobs is a different thing and may become a long term reasonable adjustments.

We review all adjustments three monthly, or sooner if it’s apparent it’s not working.

As a PP said it depends on the adjustment for instance it’s probably not reasonable for someone to be paid FT for working PT long term but as a means of easing someone back into work in the short term it’s fine. Also if someone is having treatment it might be reasonable for a longer period to accommodate that.

There’s no hard and fast rule basically.
