How do I address bullying at work

I think I’m being bullied at work and I could really do with some advice or thoughts

A few months ago I noticed quite a serious error in some work that was being completed by my team. I politely and professionally point out to the relevant person and they corrected. Problem solved.

However, since then there have been a number of incidents where, when you add them all up, make me feel like I am being bullied.

It’s reached a point today where I really am going to have to address it. It just feels so ridiculous that as a grown woman I need to go to my manager and say I’m being bullied! It’s humiliating.

I also don’t know how I even begin to prove anything. It’s mostly been verbal and there haven’t been any witnesses.

It has got to the point though where I am going to resign from my post. It’s a secondment so I won’t leave the company, just that team

Don't resign.
Make lots of notes and document everything, so you have something in writing to hand over to hr / your boss.

Two bits of advice:

  1. Keep a diary; times, dates, who said what
  2. And most importantly, keep a paper trail. They say something you think is bullying, go back to your desk, email them straight away saying "in our conversation on x date at x time, you said xx. Please could you clarify?"

Each and every single time.
