Transferring NHS continuous service from GP practice to hospital

Good evening
I am looking for information regarding continuous service in the NHS when change jobs.

I have work for a GP surgery for 16 year and now have a position in a hospital. Does anyone know if continuous service is applicable for my transfer from GP practice to Hospital?( I hope it is as I'd rather not loose what I have built up in holiday/sick pay entitlements)

Many thanks

It will depend on your trusts policy. I moved from GO land to a CCG and they honoured it. Luckily it was written into my contract because they tried to retract it.

There is no legal position because technically, GP practices are private businesses. Good luck!

GP land!

They don't have to as working for a GP you are employed by the practice who are carrying out a role under contract. Your contract is with the GP practice. A few friends have had this issue

It definitely counts.
But they might try to wriggle out of it.

Are you part of a union? Maybe get the union on board of they try not to honour it. And get it written into your contract

It doesn't necessarily, it completely depends on the situation - same as afc etc don't apply but some PN are able to join the nhs pension scheme
