Interview - first in years

I've been shortlisted for a part-time admin role and the interview is tomorrow. I've no concern that I can't do the job (I don't mean that to sound big headed) but it's 5 years since I interviewed for anything and 7 since I was made redundant while on mat leave.

There's no competency framework so I'm not anticipating that kind of interview but I've got a copy of the JD and it's straightforward admin support for a small team of 3.

Its a panel interview with a written task afterwards, I'm trying to work out what kind of thing should I expect to be asked?

What should I ask? I'm rubbish at that 'have you any questions for us?' section.

And what do you wear for an interview now? A dress and a cardi? Skirt and top?

I'm totally flapping, I think this may have been a mistake.

I’ve had various interviews for admin roles at the local authority. Although they are competency based a lot of the questions I have been asked are about prioritising workloads, how to manage conflict, what makes a good team etc. I always ask what they’re looking for in the ideal candidate however I read a thread on here not too long ago where the general consensus from interviewers was not to ask a question just for the sake of it!

Is it a face to face interview or virtual? I would go with a dress and cardigan but the skirt would also be ok I would think :)

Good luck! Even if it’s not the outcome you hoped it’s good experience, I’m sure you’ll be great!
