Imposter syndrome

Does anyone else suffer from imposter syndrome.
E.g. whether to stay in a job and plod, or go after the money and leave?
Scared to leave as the pay jump is so much more so you think 'I am going to have to really prove myself' etc, but you know deep down you deserve it.
Anyone know how to get over these feelings of imposter syndrome?

I jumped.
It's terrifying, challenging, exhilarating and validating.
I figure you regret the things you you don't try not the things you do and it's easier to go back down

Just do it.

FWIW, the feeling never goes away. You just have to learn to live with it.

If it helps, the things that made me feel like an imposter years ago now feel like the comfort zone that I wish I could go back to.

I like to think of it as a kind of insurance policy that prevents me from getting too complacent about my abilities!Grin

You just do it. You'll feel scared and uncomfortable and have to ride that out, but fingers crossed you'll also feel like you're growing and progressing.

I am progressing in my current job though, this is the problem! Lots of career development etc... but they are very tight and I'm like £20-30k less than what I should be paid.
So I am struggling to work out if to
a) stay - take the opportunities for now and focus on building my knowledge gaps/confidence for the next 6 months
b) walk - take the money and run.

We've just got a new Head, so learning ALOT at the mo as my boss has gone walkies.
However, even if I stayed for years it'll take me at least 3 years MINIMUm to get the money I'm being offered thanks to the 'great resignation' pushes wages up everywhere.
