To ask if you work in a nursery, how you do it?

Have a DD who is 6 months and whilst I love her I can’t wait to get back to work. I find it all consuming and really difficult. I can’t imagine having to take care of multiple babies at the same time. For those working in nurseries/child minders, how do you do it? Why do you do it? Do you enjoy it?

Making no judgments at all just genuine curiosity and total admiration for those of you doing it!

I worked in a nursery with 3yo’s and now have my 2 DDs age 3 & 1. Working in a nursery imo was way easier than having my own children 😅 scheduled breaks, a team effort, other adults to speak to, structure, and clocking off at the end of each day/weekend knowing I was then child free! And the kids played together, my DDs are much more demanding that I play with them 1:1, kids in a nursery just play together!

I used to work in a baby room until my disabilities became too bad.

I loved my job. I loved the kids and the staff, no two days were the same and seeing the children learn new skills and develop was always guaranteed to bring a smile to my face.
I loved being part of their lives and feeling like I'd helped them.
And the relationship you form with parents too is fab. I still have cards from parents thanking me for my work with their baby, one even goes as far as to say I was like a second mum to her DD who started with us at just 12 weeks old.
Ive been there for more babies first steps than you can imagine, their first words and I know more stories and rhymes by heart than I care to list.
I took a genuine interest in all of the babies lives and development and cared about them as if they were my own.
I miss it but unfortunately I can't work anymore.

Ah thanks both! I’m about to send DD to nursery and I’m hoping the people who care for her will be as positive as you both!! Put a smile on my face today so thank you.
