Hi everyone,

I'm going to start working in the above role for the civil service next month.

I just wanted to know if anyone has any experience of this role? What it's like and what a typical day is like? Are there a lot of targets etc?

It's a wfh role and I'm really looking forward to starting but just needed to hear from people actually in the job.

Thanks.

That sounds interesting. Do you have to go on a training course when you start ? Good luck with it.

Thanks.

The training will all be done online for 5-6 weeks. I'm looking forward to it but not sure what to expect.

What grade is it? What does SCA stand for

Assuming this is supply chain related. Have you looked up their modern slavery statement/policy/reports online. That should give you a good basis for the information you will need to capture, reviews you will be doing in the role and how they assess whether the supplier meets their requirements.

SCA in this role appears to be Single Competent Authority who are part of the Home Office.

I have had friends who have worked in Immigration Enforcement, and others in Fraud who have dealt with Human Trafficking cases. I know lots of support was given because they heard and saw quite harrowing things at times, but at the same time really felt they got to make a difference to people.

Sorry, I can't really be of any help, but it sounds a very interesting role. Good luck!
