Can anyone not get to work today due to fuel?

Just wondering really, I wfh but go into the office on Wednesdays, and I need fuel before Wednesday and haven’t been able to find a single one around that I can fill up on. Just wondering what other people’s circumstances are surrounding this?

I'm not really understanding the whole 'I can't get to work because I've no petrol' excuse.

I understand that due to public transport times/routes etc that some people may be arriving a bit late etc, but there's really no reason why people should be simply not going into work simply because they can't use their car for transport.

Busses don't run at 3am where I live. Not everyone works 9 to 5

Round by me it was on Fb that the news had gone round there was a petrol tanker on the way. People started queuing.....guess what got stuck in the queue!

i live in a town, but work in a different town approx 15 miles away. If i got the earliest train and bus then walk combo I would arrive at work at approx 11am. then i would need to leave at approx 2:30pm in order to make the return journey. I would get more done WFH all day than making that journey. All the filling stations within a 15 mile radius are closed and were all refilled at 6am this morning but closed by 10am. it is going to become a massive issue where I am. I saw 4 cars on my way home tonight by the side of the road as they had run out of fuel.
