In March 2020, my employer changed their payment terms so that you were payed at the end of the month for the previous month. This didn't affect me but has meant that any new starts only got their pay at the end of the subsequent month of working, so sometimes working for 7 weeks without getting paid.
It's been reviewed and they are now reverting back to getting paid at the end of the month for the current month of working. For those who were employed by the company since March 2020, this means they will be getting an extra month pay this month to make up for the one they missed at the beginning of their employment . Hope that makes sense 🙈
Anyway, even though I have remained in employment with the company, I have had 2 fairly significant pay rises in that time. All paid in the next months pay.
Example, I started my new role in March 2020, and got paid the extra at the end of April 2020. I had another change of role in July 2021 with another pay increase, which I received at the end of August 2021.
So this month, I should be receiving my pay for August, but because they've reverted back to current months payments, it means I'm getting paid for September, not august.
Does that mean I have missed a month of my increased salary? Similarly, is it affected by the increase in March 2020 too?? Can't get my head around it and will bring it up with them unless I'm just being daft (which I probably am!!)
