Job offer + BFP

Big week so far...I've just been offered a new job after being on the hunt for almost a year for my next step. I've also just found out I'm pregnant after 2 miscarriages and another 8 months of TTC.

My notice period at my current job is 12 weeks which means if things go better this time round then I'd be around 4 months when starting, working for about 4 months and then off on mat leave. It's a 6 month probation period so wouldn't even complete that before I was going off. I'd want to take 9-12 months off.

There is a slim chance that I may be able to negotiate an earlier finish date with my current employer but won't know till I discuss with them to hand in my notice which I have now put off doing.

I am so conscious that this may end in another loss and don't want to continue to put my life on hold, and I know I'd be in a worse state if another loss happens and I'm still stuck in the same job..but I also really don't want to pee off my future employer before I've even started given the recruitment and training process they'd need to go through again.

Has anyone been in a similar situation as either an employee or employer? Any words of advice??

Sorry @Lozza3221 no advice but didn't want to read and run. Congratulations on your job offer and even bigger Congratulations on your pregnancy. I wish you all the best.

Sorry I have no advice but can only imagine how you must be feeling in your position. Hopefully someone else can come along with advice but I didn't want to read and run. Timing probably seems awful but everything happens in the right time if that makes sense.

Congratulations again and try and stay relaxed as you can x
