How to prepare for interview?

I have a job interview next week.

I've not worked for nearly seventeen years, as have had a long break to care for children with SEN. I've done quite a bit of volunteer stuff and little bits of part time/short term work on a fairly informal basis.

The job is for hospital admin/junior medical secretary type role.

To be honest for various reasons being offered an interview took me slightly by surprise and I've realised I haven't the first idea how to prepare for it.

I'm going to get myself properly familiar with Caldicott principles (mentioned in job description) but other than that I'm all at sea.

Any tips? I'd be very grateful!

If it’s in the NHS phone the recruiting manager and say you’ve been offered an interview can you come for a look round or have an informal chat about the role.
Raising a family, especially one that includes SEN kids is bloody hard work and you’ll have lots of transferable skills.

Actually OP I’d phone them anyway, NHS or not. Just be honest that you’ve been out of formal employment for a bit and it means a lot to you to rejoin the work force
