From 2 to 3 days?

Hi , Have worked 2 days a week as a job share for a few years , this worked well as I don’t overly like my colleagues but could tolerate two days spread out and also gave me plenty of time with DC at home. However I was often overlooked in work for courses and opportunities as I was so part time and they wouldn’t release me for any additional training- basically at two days a week I wasn’t going to be unskilled.
Had anotherDC and returned to work and have a new manager, as explaining that I don’t get same opportunities as everyone else as I am so part time she asked if I wanted to increase my hours now before they recruit another full Time person to the team . In two minds what to do, two days is super handy let’s face it but I’m only a token member of the team I feel, with childcare it’s financial no benefit to me as my salary just pays the childcare bill ( I wouldn’t consider not working as would lose professional registration, want to pay into pension etc ) so until all children are at school in a few years the finances will be the same.
What would u do??
Trying to consider if I’d prefer to work three days so I feel I could contributes more as I’m a hard worker and like to achieve/ be innovative or should I just park that idea as realise while the children are small that career ambitions should take the back seat. Any advice!?

Any possibility you could work a 50 per cent contract as three days one week, two days the next - so work three days every two weeks.

I'd go for 3 days if I was you (I have done 2.5 and 3.5 in the past). As you have found, I think 2 days isn't enough to feel like a proper member of the team.
