In panic, application deadline aproaching... anyone know how to translate foreign studies into A levels terms?

Basically, that's the issue. I have a Bachillerato in Physics and Maths (similar in structure to the international bacalaureate but far from being as posh).

I have no idea how to describe that in A level jargon (internet application). My average mark is 87 out of 100 possible, what would that be in A levels standards?

Same goes for my university degree, I had a B+ average (American) borderline by hairline with A, what is that in Britain's terms? I just remember that it was good enough to keep me in the highest 5% of the students for 3 terms but putting as B+ doesn't seem to reflect that.

Help! any other working expatriates around?

TIA

At a guess, I would say that puts you at A grade for the A level (I think A grades kick in at 75-80% although I did my A levels about 100 years ago so it may have changed)and a 2i (two one) grade at degree level. Hope that helps until someone younger an more knowledgable (sp) comes along.

I am not an expat but what are you applying for? For most applications don't need to know grades just standard of qualification. Degrees here are 1st class (top) 2:1 which would be next or equivalent to merit, 2:2 and so on. Sorry I don't know about the A levels hopefully someone will post who does!

Thank you,

I have some other qualifications (diplomas) that I completed after my first degree. Should I list this under the section of professional qualifications? if so, what are they talking about when they said "professional body"? I have a small box for "professional body" and another one saying "qualification awarded". Should I put the name of the college in professional body and the name of the qualification? am I talking rubish? can't believe I have been here for almost 10 years and I find this so complicated.

Application is for a managerial position (may also add that although a manager in the past, I have not done any management in years!)
