Time off due to child isolating

Hi i have just been informed by my childs primary school that he needs to self isolate due to bubble closure. My older children have had to isolate before but they were fine home alone. My DS is 11 and not able to be left alone. Will I have to take time off unpaid or be expected to arrange childcare for him? It's a bit confusing as work not helpful.

You’ll have to take the time off -

Totally depends on your employer, you'll have to ask to know what they expect employees to do in this situation

Could be flexible furlough, unpaid leave, parental leave, fully paid and no need to take any leave or something else entirely

It's all confusing online with the advice, self isolation rules state he should stay home so I cant really take him to someone else. I work in a school and I cant work from home as we have nothing for me to do from home really.

I’m In the same position with my 7 year old. I was told by my manager today if I had been asked to isolate it would go down as sick/COVID related but as it is my child I will need to take leave.
