Lunch breaks - breaks from computers at work query?

I've been working here for 8 months and work for most of the 6 hours per day on the computer.

Apparently it has been mentioned that I have been in the canteen with bosses etc and it has been decided after 8 months that I am not allowed ANY break at all.

I'm sure that I saw somewhere that said that if I work 6 hours or over (I often start earlier that this) that I am allowed '20 minutes per day and more is at the employers discretion'.

does anyone have a link where it says what i'm allowed etc especially with being at a computer.

You are entitled to your break by law, but obviously not to be paid for it. So I would expect them to adjust your hours accordingly to ensure you have appropriate time off but still work your full 18.75 hours during the week.

Definitely definitely speak to your HR department about this, there will be policies and procedures in place for ensuring that however flexible someone's hours are, they get the correct breaktimes.

I had a similar experience.

Join your union (I am a member of the GMB).

I had massive problems with an employer who wouldn't honour their T&C of employment.

I resigned and quoted the law back at them (which got me some extra money as TOIL wasn't honoured - one of the reasons i left).
The GMB will guide and support you. Sounds a bit fishy to me about breaks (6 hours at your desk with no break is illegal by the way).
