Career advice for an idealist

After a bit of objective advice! Will caveat with the fact that I am aware of how fortunate I am to even have options at the moment.

Option 1 - stay in current role which I am not enjoying at all (infact not enjoying to the point of being completely miserable) but pays well and is succession for top job (but one that I am not excited about AT ALL).
Option 2 - offered a role which is a significant pay increase for easier job. On the face if it this is a no brainer but, the thing that puts me off if everyone I have met in the rather long and arduous interview process has been…nice….but a bit institutionalised? I feel like I might be a cultural misfit, and I suspect that would make me miserable eventually.
Option 3 - a bit of a left field option - opportunity to be more autonomous - not self employed exactly but working as part of a collective with option to grow. Excellent potential earning for hard work. The thing that is putting me off this particular option is again a bit of a cultural thing…nice people, but not inspiring…I suspect it could be frustrating plus it is also riskiest option (highest likelihood of failure).

So…what should I do? I’m an idealist at heart but have learned to be pragmatic over the years. I also have a young family so want to maintain a work life balance, but at the same time feel energised by my work when I feel like I am making a difference.

I know nobody can give me the answer but interested in objective views as I have obsessed about it so much I am boring myself! Which option is most appealing to you and why?
