Is there anyone here who works term time only in a primary school?
Do you still get paid (I mean holiday pay) during the long summer holiday?

At the school I'm a governor at, the answer is yes. Salary is split into 12 equal payments and paid monthly including over the summer.

Dw is a school cleaner and the same.
Holiday hours get added on and the whole thing divided by twelve

Paid in the holidays, not for the holidays. So I get a pay cheque every month.

EvilEdna1 · 31/05/2021 15:53

Yes I do. Paid every month.

Yes pay is divided into 12 monthly payments.

Normally you’ll be paid for 39 weeks per year (or whatever your term is) plus holiday weeks. In my Trust you’d be paid for 45.4 or 46.4 (depending in length of service) weeks per year inc holidays. This creates an annual salary which is then paid in 12 instalments each month.

You get paid pro rata so spread over the twelve months. You will also get paid holiday, so paid to work for 38 weeks of the year plus 4 weeks holiday. This means ten weeks of the year are unpaid but also not worked. Same pay cheque every month, including August.

Yes you do, I'm in secondary school finance, all staff are paid equally across 12 months.
