Still haven't had my P45

Hi

I left my previous role at the end of January, after maternity leave I returned in November part time and the job just wasn't for me anymore, nothing serious, just wasn't right.
Dh earns enough that me working is nice, but not needed.
After spending February unemployed, I realised I needed to work for my own sanity, I love ds to bits, but at the moment there's not a lot to do with a year old.
So I've taken on a 3 month temping contract.

I messaged the office manager when I started this new job as I hadn't had my final wage slip or P45. She assured me she'd send them both that week, this was mid March and I still haven't seen them.
I've emailed her but as it's the Easter holidays, she's on leave. It's a small company so there's noone else that will pick up her emails etc.

Is there anything I can do with HMRC to sort my tax out, as I'm on emergency tax, and don't want to build up a rebate, I'd ratherbe square.

Also, my pension is with Nest and as I am technically employed via an agency, I've noticed my pension contributions have stopped, is there anything I can do to restart them?

TIA

You can fill in a P46 and ask to be taxed on Week1/Month1 - it should limit a build up of Emergency Tax.
Your employer can defer enrolling you into a pension for 3 months and given that your contract is for 3 months that is likely the position they will take. You can contribute to Nest yourself though - they are really helpful, give them a call to ensure when you do you are getting your tax back.

You don’t need a P45 now, we are seven days into the new tax year, a P45 from January is completely irrelevant. When did you start the new job%? If you started it straight away and you overpaid tax in February / March then the refund will come through automatically in due course now.

For this tax year, being on a W1/ M1 tax code this early on in the tax year should make no difference to the tax deductions. If you are on a code like BR then you will be overpaying and you need to call HMRC about that.
