Career change ideas

I wonder if anyone can give me advice or suggestions about a career change in my 30s. I am a hcp (not a nurse) and just feel like my heart is not in it anymore, I want to make a change but I have no idea what I want to do.

I currently work part time and earn around 24k gross. I could afford a pay cut or increased hours for the same money for a while but would like prospects to earn the same or more than now. I'm happy to retrain but can't afford a full time student role, it would need to be on the job training or something I could fit around my current job until I can jump ship.

I have a degree (bsc) but it's just a 2:2 and in a vocational subject related to my current profession.

I have no idea which direction to look at, I don't have a particular passion l, I'm just hoping someone will say 'what about x' and it will leap out as the right option! I 100% would not want to go into teaching but other than that would welcome any suggestions of career paths to consider, I'd particularly love to hear of anyone who has changed career later in life. Many thanks!

I am also a HCP. I now work in research for the NIHR/NHS. Maybe you could consider being a research practitioner or coordinator either in the NHS or privately? It can be very rewarding depending on the area you choose.

Have you thought about studying Counselling? It’s something that can be done part time: an introductory ten week course at College, three hours per week; and then two years, three hours each week. The final two years (so 4.5 years in total) are one full day at College plus a voluntary placement to gain experience.

An Advanced Learner loan is available to all (not means tested) as the course can cost approx £6,000.

I am 56 so it’s never too late!

Thank you for the suggestions, research sounds potentially interesting, I'll do some research 😆

Counselling doesn't appeal to me but thank you for suggesting it.
