I don't have a manager

So as the title says I don't have a manager apparently. I changed roles within a company during the first lockdown, I was given no information about who would be my manager and as my old manager would have to agree holidays etc it was thought to be them. Until he said no and he has no idea who it would be. I asked if it could be found out as I have had 2 catches ups under 5 minutes since April.
Nothings ever done, I asked in email and no further. How would you go about raising this with HR? I actually have emailed my union and they called today and are sending it through to the closest branch who'll call me, I'm just trying to get my ducks in a row.
In a nutshell I feel really unsupported, It's just really shit at the moment.

I would keep it short e.g. During lockdown I applied for/moved at management request from xx role to yy role. I started yy role on xx/xx/2020 but have not been allocated a line manager. I would appreciate you advising me who my line manager is.

Before you do this check there are no organisation charts or team lists available. Who currently gives you work/sets deadlines etc? Who is copied into emails that are senior to you?

I would do what @Margaritatime suggested. In my previous role, I ‘had’ a line manager but I often wouldn’t see her for 6 months. At one point I thought she’d left! She did 2 annual reviews with me in 6 years. Whilst micromanagement is rubbish, having no support is also really crap so I sympathise.

Thank you both, so we have an online system that shows who each persons team is, mine still shows me as linked to the old manager but with my new role. I have work that is standard with the teams, and the manager I look after gives me work for these but he's not my own manager.
It's just a mess tbh, I'm glad I'm not micromanaged but it is the lack of support that's rubbish. I have a colleague who has also inserted herself into my role recently and taken over a piece of work that is for my team. I think that has exacerbated my feelings of annoyance as I don't have a line manager I can flag it too that it's frustrating to be removed from work that is actually for my team.

I feel Bad for complaining as I know how lucky I am to have a job, it's just stressful and I feel really down. I don't mean to sound ungrateful for my job, I really don't. Sad

Your not complaining, you are asking a reasonable question to clarify the situation.

Bloody auto correct, you are not complaining.
