I'm in the process of filling my application form in for a job within the NHS, the final part has 3 sections: Supporting Information, Everybody that works for the Trust is responsible for providing a safe and positive experience for our patients. In the role you are applying for, what will be your contribution to this and how will you demonstrate that the patient always comes first? and How well do you meet the criteria in the Person Specification?
I'm confused mainly confused with the first and last section as I feel like I am repeating myself....please help! (any additional help with the middle section is greatly appreciated too!)

In the supporting statement I would talk more about personal characteristics that you possess that you feel make you a suitable candidate... so for example: strong work ethic, organisation and prioritising workload, ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision, etc.
The last question you need to give examples of how you meet the essential criteria in the person spec, so relate to your past experiences or
Experiences in your current role. Don’t just say “I do XYZ” you need to go into a bit more detail “in my current role, XYZ happened and I did 123 which meant I had to use skills such as ABC” (if that makes sense).

I’m a B6 admin manager in the NHS so read through a lot of applications :)

Also what I would recommend is definitely brushing up on the trusts values and behaviours, email the hiring manager and ask for a MS teams meeting (unless they’re happy to meet face to face but because of covid they may not), to chat in more detail about the role on offer and make sure you include in your supporting statement that
You have done this.

Also in your supporting statement put in any training you have completed or are undergoing that will be advantageous to the role on offer x

Thank you so much for your post...I've already sent off the application and pretty much did what you mentioned. I actually did email the hiring manager to clarify what I mentioned in my post here, and tbh she just said to put down if I meet the criteria or not - which I did but also added additional info regarding the desirable criteria and a bit more...done quite a bit of research too. Everything about this position is perfect for me...trying not to get my hopes up though, can't stand the rejection ☹️. Fingers crossed...Thanks again for the advice, really appreciate it x
