Hi everyone.
I had to leave my job due to no childcare, they were unhelpful with regards to options ie furlough or wfh etc.
Before Xmas I worked two days extra and they said this would be paid cash.
I had two weeks notice which they said I didn't have to work- one week I got paid sick pay and one week I got normal pay. It's now 4 weeks since I worked the extra days and I have reminded them before I quit that it was owed and they said to collect when I'm next in, I didn't go back due to no childcare so haven't been in.

My question is- do I text my manager and ask him for the cash for the two days? Or do I cut my loses and put it down to experience?

Before anyone says about working cash in hand- I understand that it's not a great situation but I'm a single mum and any extra cash is desperately needed, especially in the current situation.

What would you do? Thanks in advance

If you didn’t work your two weeks notice but still got paid I’d probably leave it and cut my losses
If you’re were cash in hand furlough options wouldn’t be available anyway.

That's what I was thinking.. also I wouldn't have to deal with the anxiety of speaking to them. However family think Iabu as I have worked it. Thank you Smile

You might as well ask for it. If they are not forthcoming you will have to write it off as, there is no recourse as you cannot use courts to enforce what would have been an illegal transaction.
