Long Career Break - Change of Direction

Looking for some advice!

I had my daughter in December 2016 and have been a stay at home mum ever since. I now have a 3 month old too.

Obviously when returning to work I'm now going to be looking at a five year career break - I work in marketing and graphic design and feel like I'll be completely deskilled in my field. It also feels unlikely I'll find the child friendly hours I want and need to fit in with the kids.

I run my local playgroup and love doing it so have thought about starting up my own children's group. It can fit in with school hours and I can take my little one along too if I need to. I've looked into joining a franchise but just don't have the money to do it. Ideally I would love to run an art/messy play group (though not looking that sensible during covid) or a forest school.

I wondered if anybody had any experience in setting up a group and any advice? Do I need qualifications to do this? My husband is very worried of the financial gamble I'd take but I know it's something I'd enjoy and would be good at. I'm obviously not going to be making a fortune. But I need to do something! Do I need experience to start up a group like this?

Thank you for reading!
