Declining NHS job before I have an offer?

Hi there, looking for some advice. I recently interviewed for a job within the NHS, the job advert mentioned a range of potential locations and shift patterns with a degree of flexibility.
At interview it became apparent I was interviewing for a specific location and shift pattern which would be unfeasible for me to work. Having given it some thought there's no way I could take the job, if offered it: can/should I withdraw from consideration before I hear back from them, or should I wait until I hear one way or another and take it from there?
Any experience much appreciated, thanks.

If they offer it to you you can start to negotiate and mention your queries.

Tell them ASAP so you don’t waste their time .

If they were specific at the interview I'd email and thank them for their time etc but the shift pattern/location wouldn't work.

Mention you'd be keen to interview for the job if it was at X location or flexible, they may know of other positions coming up.

Wait. There may be room for negotiation. Maybe another employee would like to transfer? Unbelievably, when my husband originally moved to be with me 5 years ago, there was a branch of his office in my city. Someone wanted a transfer to his city 100 miles away and they just swapped!! Sometimes things are just meant to be 😂

I would wait too. No point in discussing further when you may have been unsuccessful at interview.

I'd wait. My experience with the NHS is that it takes so long to advertise, interview and actually recruit a new starter that the needs of the role will often change a lot.
