Simple stress-free jobs?

Might sound a bit funny, but what jobs to people recommend that are fairly simple with little responsibility and preferably, you can maybe work alone or in a very small team (or a team so big you're pretty much anonymous)?

I won't bore anyone reading with my current work history but I'm looking for a part-time job (not retail, though). I work a shift in a hospital doing reception and phone enquiries, which I really like, but it's only 4hrs.

I've very recently got a job as an admin clerk in another hospital. The work is totally fine. It's repetative, which is honestly OK. I don't mind as long as I'm busy. The hours suit me and the flexibility is great. But, I'm not sure I'm going to like this particular office environment. Similar work somewhere less stressy and snippy would be quite good.

Anyone with any suggestions of what I could be looking out for?

Medical Lab Assistant, I am one. Shocking pay for what we do but it's certainly an easyish job, never go home worrying about it for sure. It's mainly admin with a hint of medical stuff, of which I had no history with when I started.

Thanks for that. I'll keep an eye out.

Do you mind me asking why your username is the company name?

Sounds like your career history is similar to mine from a few years ago. You’re developing admin experience, and admin can get good pay, as well as management career progression. NHS pay for admin is low, but you can take that experience and get a job in a higher paying environment for administrators, like education.

Thanks, but I'm looking for simple stress-free jobs as per thread title. The last think I want Is as my type of management position. Pay is not the issue.

I am a secretary for the NHS and it's a very easy, stress free job. I've just started to work at home for 2 weeks then 2 weeks in the office. I occasionally work alone which I prefer. Pay is shit though.

Midday Supervisor in Primary School?

That's funny actually as I'm currently doing admin support for a team of medical secretaries. Not keen on that type of office environment and the cliquey vibe. The work is very simple and stress free but that type environment is not great for me.

I know what you mean, I'm really not keen on that either and I'm quite antisocial. I used to work in a large GP surgery and didn't like the environment. I only work with 1 other admin colleague who isn't the most pleasant of people at all but luckily since covid I don't see her as much as I used to as we are alternating WFH/being in the office. It can be very difficult to find something that's suitable as you don't really know the environment and people before you work there!

Hi starlight

Yes, I'm somewhat anti-social, too, and find it hard to fit in with those sort of environments where it's like one big group. I'd rather just work either on my own, orwith no more than 1-2 people, or a very large office where you can be anonymous.
