Presentation for Skype/teams interview

I have an interview for a job in a couple of weeks. The invite to the job came through today and says I will need to give a 5 minute oral presentation during the interview. I'm comfortable with the topic but I've never given a presentation at an interview before so I'm a little nervous. Are there any tips or things anyone would suggest (even if they seem obvious I could do with all the help I can get). The fact its via Skype/teams is making me extra nervous, is this easy to do?

Do you know how to share your power point? I'd have two screens one showing the person you are speaking to and one for your power point. Make sure you look at the camera that has your face on it frequently and not just at the second screen with the powerpoint. Practice doing this with a friend beforehand.

I did a presentation for a job this week. Do some simple slides with a few words and diagrams on and make more extensive notes that you can read from if you get nervous. The pp's idea of practising it with a friend is a good one. I had to share one on Slides through Meet and I practised finding the right settings to allow me to see my notes but for the other attendees to just see the slides. Also time yourself and make sure you fit in the time.

I had to do a presentation for an interview last month. I’d ensure you have a backup planned in case technology fails, in mine we were using an unfamiliar alternative to skype, and my screen wouldn’t share after a couple of attempts. Fortunately I’d thought of an alternative way of presenting, so it didn’t throw me off too much.

I also second the suggestion of using the presenter notes, really handy for you to have prompts on screen when you’re presenting and others can’t see them. I’d also record yourself presenting it a few times so you can ensure you’re under the five minutes Smile good luck!
