Advice - indirect bullying/discrimination?

I work on a contract as an EO within central government - a fairly niche department. My contract is for a year and I've been told to apply for the permanent role when this is advertised (soon) and that I have a very good chance of getting it.

As the work climate is very bad at the moment and there are fewer jobs especially for EAs/PAs etc outside government it makes sense for me to apply here.

However, there is someone higher than me (in management) who has had complaints and clashes (they're involved in proper procedures with HR over this) with my direct bosses and over the past few months they've targeted me by my role and also some work which I do (have been asked to do this). I see emails they've sent which directly criticise me (part of my work to monitor bosses email) and now they've got other team members involved. What's interesting is that the people involved now are men and the bosses are both female as am I.

It's almost bullying but when I've raised this with my bosses they seem to think ignore it and it will go away.

It seems to be having the desired effect now - grinding me down! I have been bullied in a previous role in private practice but got over that.

Does anyone have any ideas/suggestions on what to do? I did do a bit of CBT in therapy and could use some of that here.

Hi
Sorry you’ve not had any replies!

Not sure I can say much that will help.

Document everything including what impact it’s having on you. Keep copies of emails etc.

If it gets unbearable try an informal discussion.

Join a union if not already. Ask there advice.

If the informal process doesn’t work you could try a grievance but it’s likely to backfire on you unless you have a lot more solid evidence.
