I have a NHS interview next week. Can anyone tell me how many questions they usually ask at interview ? I'm studying the person spec very hard to get an idea of what they will be looking for at the interview stage.

NHS like to use experience based questions...tell us about a time you had a meet a deadline, tell us about how you would prioritised the following ...etc
What is the role type?

They will be looking for answers in a STAR format I'd imagine so look that up! They're big on questions on teamwork, perhaps confidentiality, have you ever been in a situation where... and can you tell me how you overcame this?

Yes as above...
I would say even if you can’t think of an actual example make one up that is relevant to your experiences and the question and use that for example I was asked about I time of conflict and how it was resolved.
I said about when there was issues in expectations within the PTA I was on and how through clearer communication and set goals we worked through the issues together etc etc
None of which happened as we are a pta that gets on well but needed something!

Thanks for all this - it's an admin role.

Is there a test also it’s usually a telephone test maybe someone ringing to leave a message and then they check how accurate it is. Excel spreadsheet.
They will definitely ask about relevant experience so have lots ready to demonstrate you are fully experienced on all Microsoft and give examples, experience note taking, telephone calls, letter writing.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Examples of when you’ve been a team player ie staying late to help a colleague, readiness to take on extra responsibilities to help out others etc.
Confidentiality will definitely come up- good examples might be locking confidential information in desk before leaving desk, closing computer do no patient identifiable information is on show and is secure.
Have an example for each personal spec ready.
Good luck
