Starting again after 7 years - any advice?

Hi,
Would you suggest someone who has been a SAHP for 7 years and wants to start working again? My last role was managing a Customer Service team for an IT company, and overall I have 10 years experience in b2b customer service.
My guess is that none of my experience actually matters any more due to gap, so finding something entry level (once the market picks up a little) is my only option? I understand that right this moment I have no chance in hell in landing anything at all, but would love some advice for the future!

I would still start applying for jobs - maybe customer service agent - if you get an interview it will be good practice. Is there any volunteering you can do to get more recent experience on your CV - some charity shops are struggling as a lot of their volunteers are older retired adults.

Thank you all Taswama. I'm curious if my previous experience is of any value or it's all irrelevant because of the gap. I've started looking, but not expecting much right now.

I would say not totally irrelevant.
Are you on LinkedIn? If not, set yourself up a very basic profile and start looking up contacts from your previous jobs. Not just peers but people who worked for you. Don't ask them for a job but maybe advice on what the current trends are in the industry, any training you could be doing, etc. Getting back to work will be tough but getting a job through contacts is better than being one of hundreds applying.
