What was your childhood dream?

Mine was to live on a deserted island, do a lot of fishing and be really really tanned. Not sure I've checked that one off the list though

I wanted to own a hotel! But I wanted to do it all chef/receptionist/waitress I thought I knew exactly how to run a hotel alone as I could do it with my polly pockets DS age 2 wants to be a bin man..😂

@tmh88 That seems like it works perfectly, you be a chef / receptionist / waitress in the hotel, and your son can take out the bins! Dream come true for all involved x

@tmh88 Oh yes, I'll cover your shifts! But I also want to interior decorate, personally select the dessert menu, and fraternise with all the guests (also won't accept less than £3 million salary)

@mangomcjango wage not a problem! Make that per day when we are fully booked! Dessert menu has to be very high class and once served you must play the grand piano for them while they eat! interior design however... I’ll let you do table decor?

I really really wanted to be a librarian when I was little. I thought using a date stamp was really cool and also thought I'd have plenty of time to read, in between people borrowing books, plus unlimited access to loads of new books as they came in. What a job...

Huh, I was expecting it per hour actually I'll make sure the dessert is high class, but all I can offer is "Mary Had A Little Lamb" on the grand piano, take it or leave it - the classiest song in the world. Table decor works, but I'm also planning on drinking a ton of red wine on the job so expect some 'chic art' on your walls and carpets

I wanted to be batman for quite a while, sadly that didn’t work out ☹️

From about 11 I wanted to be a rugby player, specifically a prop or hooker. I managed to do fairly well and played for a high league for a few years. I still play but for a lower league.

I really wanted a fridge with a water dispenser, I obviously thought they were cool as a child. Instead I have a fridge with a glass front so it just looks like a huge mess.

I just want a stable, happy, contended life. It is that now, to a degree, so I guess that's my on going dream fulfilled.

@SimonJT Hey, Batman's gotta be getting pretty old now - there'll be an opportunity for replacement any day soon! And I still think fridges with water dispensers are cool

1 I wanted to have a huge tank of tropical fish in my bathroom

2 I wanted an old Victorian style library full of rare books

3 I wanted to be able to get black cabs whenever I wanted and hail them like a movie.

I can do 3.... (Well... Covid aside) still waiting on the other two
