Hi

Well, Im starting the ball rolling with my business idea and Im at the stage of getting a website designed.

I want a very simple, clear and sleak design - nothing fussy or garish and need to send the web designer some links to websites that I like the style of.

Could you post any websites you visit that fit the criteria above?

this one?
If you the designer wouldn't out you!

I just asked my DH as he is a web designer and he asked what sort of business you do, e-commerce, customer service or more of a corporate look.

Suzywong is right in asking what you do. If you are going to have online ordering for e.g. there is no better example than amazon for useability and that is really important to visitors. The single most important factor is if they can find what tehy want fast. If it's a promotional site then you should really just brief the designer on the feel and style you like and a good designer will give you a number of different designs from which you can refine and then choose.

can't take the credit on that one Krocket, DH was most emphatic (precious) about releasing any of his designs for viewing until he knew.

this is the guru of web design sites. It has everything on it from over the top flash site to weird arty stuff and simple but lovely sites. You can havea browse through and that will give you and idea for what you do and don't like

linkdup

It will be mainly for information purposes, contact details and a run down of services and prices.

It is for Home PC Setup and Support. I want it to be simple and sleak and not like a typical techy website as the business is an attempt to fill the gap in the IT Market for user friendly, jargon free Technical support.

understandly suzy, there is no way you can design anything without knowing the key purpose first
